Christ The Lord The Road to Cana by Anne Rice - what I am reading now.

I am currently reading Christ The Lord The Road to Cana by Anne Rice. I have read probably close to 100 pages so far. I normally don't read Anne Rice - too many vampire stories for my taste - but I am giving this one a chance. I am trying to keep an open mind, but it has been a little hard. I find myself reading a few chapters, then trying to analyze what I have read. I'll be back soon to post a full review. I am curious though if anyone else reading this book finds their faith clashing with their enjoyment of this book? Please make some comments as to your thoughts on this question.

I invite you to visit my website, Anne Rice.com. There is quite a bit of material there on Christ the Lord, The Road to Cana, including statements by clergymen who responded well to the book, and some brilliant reviews. Fr. Neuhaus' comment on the book was deeply appreciated. I hope you sink into the book and enjoy it. I think the world is hungry for novels by true believers and I am certainly one of them, a conservative Catholic who holds the Gospels to be gospel. Thanks for your generous mention of the book. Anne Rice.

Wow, I am honored that you visited my blog. No offense about the Vampires intended; they just aren't my cup of tea (though hubby really enjoyed the movie.)

I did ultimately enjoy reading the book (my review was positive). I would definitely read the next book and will likely go back to read the first in the series.
